BEGINNER SURF LESSONS
Lessons to learn the basics of surfing: How to choose and catch waves; Surfing stance (Regular and "Goofy"); Basic surfing maneuvers – Take-off, drop, and bottom turn. The lessons take place at S. Roque beach in Machico (a beach with clear and fine sand), or at the volcanic sand beaches of Madeira: Praia da Maiata in Porto da Cruz.
Duration:
2h30 - 30 minutes of warm-up, safety, and technique
90 minutes of practice on the waves
Please bring Bikini/Swimsuit or swim shorts, beach towel, hat, sunscreen, flip flops, water, and a snack or light meal.
All equipment is included, such as a learning surfboard, wetsuit, leash, wax, and a Level 1 or 2 surf coach.

Surf Lessons for Advanced
Suitable for those who already have the basic notions of surfing, catch waves on their own, and already define a direction on the wave. Improve: How to generate speed "trimming" + Improve turns "bottom to top" + Analysis of forecasts and "surf forecast". Classes are preferably held at São Roque beach in Machico or Maiata beach in Porto da Cruz; Beaches with volcanic sand and rolled pebbles or at "reef breaks" or "point breaks" if conditions allow.
Duration: 30 minutes - warm-up, safety, and technique - 90 minutes - practice on the waves.
